"Curse of the Blair Witch" was a one-hour "mockumentary" designed to enhance the mystery surrounding the "Blair Witch Project" feature. Haxan Films approached us to design title and package graphics that would help build a creepy and foreboding mood without divulging any specific plot details about the show. Focusing on the theme of being "lost in the woods", we took an editorial approach to the graphics, building a montage of forest images and de-focused closeup shots. Over this we laid fragmented, gothic type and textures, developing a look that was dark, unstable and claustrophobic.
